The earliest interaction with my parents and I that defined communication and gender was an issue of non-communication. When I was 2 weeks old I was in the hospital for 8 days due to heart problems. Although I don't remember me being in the hospital I can see how being away from my mom for that long of time at such a young age made us so close throughout our childhood till now. She's always been my #1 supporter and always been there for me more than anyone else.
The most recent interaction I had with someone involving communication and gender was Sunday at my work. Some of us we were watching the Pro Bowl and that got us talking about the Superbowl. Two of the guys and I were talking about the game and how excited we were because it seems like it will be one of the best games ever played. A couple of the females then chimed in how they are excited for the commercials and halftime show. This lead us to a discussion about how it's interesting that most guys can't wait for the actual game of the Superbowl but most women are excited about the commercials and halftime show. At least at my work the guys are excited for the game and the girls are excited for the commercials.
